Our vision is to create a partnership with a client that allows the client to challenge previously held beliefs and engage in positive momentum towards achieving a goal.
Goals are an integral part of coaching. If there are no goals, we are not coaching. Clients come to us with a variety of goals including:
The coaching relationship is a partnership between two equal parties. Clients are experts in their own lives. The success of the relationship depends on trust and openness.
Each session provides opportunities for growth, challenge, and self reflection. Clients learn to identify strengths, values, and ultimately assess if these values are being honored in ways that allow them to achieve their own goal.
A Coach is able to listen to what the client is saying and listen for what they are not saying. I coach can point out disconnects between what a client is saying and how they are saying it. Coaching reflects back to the client and the client assigns meaning to the information. This allows for the next level of learning to occur.
Clients become more aware of their feelings, thoughts, drivers, triggers, and reactions. This awareness allows them to approach their situation from an entirely new perspective.
Have you opened a new location, redesigned your shop, or added a new product or service? Don't keep it to yourself, let folks know.
If there is no action, we are not coaching. Clients determine the agenda and commit to following through with action-oriented steps based on what they learned about themselves. This provides for Nulearning opportunities and propels the client forward.
Accountability is what makes coaching successful. Highlighting the clients agenda, the coach provides an opportunity for the client to create accountability for themselves.
Closure or completion of the coaching process is important. Clients will spend time identifying patterns in their lives that may not be productive. Time is spent discussing barriers that may have, in the past, limited progress towards a particular goal. The coaching partnership creates momentum and the creation of new productive habits.
